Current Situation
While some institutions offer a partially digital admissions process, there are still manual and paper-based requirements such as recommendations or paper forms. On the back end, admission committees may use in-person meeting or act individually with out a 360 view of an applicant.
Goals and Objectives
Use online forms and portals to provide an end-to-end digital admissions workflow. This would enable students to submit all application materials from transcripts to essays and for all those involved in the review and acceptance process to see the work of others and the entire application process for each applicant.
Technology Deployed
Blockchain to credentialing and audit trails, digital signatures for approvals, student or web portals, online forms, collaboration platforms, dash boards and analytics, CRM software, and cybersecurity tools
Use Case Summary
Both the front end and the back end of the admissions process should have a digital work flow with all stages of the process, and accompanying forms, available and shared on line to the appropriate users.
