Current Situation
The adoption rate of electric vehicles (EV) is growing among users with governments promoting zero-emission technology. With the increasing demand for EVs, there are not enough commercially available DC fast-charging stations to support rapid charging and long-distance commutes.
Goals and Objectives
Expand the network of public chargers. The objective is to build an expansive network with new technology enabling rapid charging to facilitate the transition from fossil fuels–powered vehicles to EVs.
Technology Deployed
Hardware: Level 3 stations require special allocation of power with independent transformers, large batteries, chargers, and connectors
Software: Cloud-hosted software for operations, payment processing, and customer support
Services: EV charger and platform management services, payment management services
Use Case Summary
An expansive EV charging infrastructure is necessary for quicker charge times and the scalability of EVs across regions. DC fast chargers are expensive to establish but a necessity on highways connecting major cities to support long-distance EV commute.
