Intelligent Space Planning

Current Situation

Space planning for classes, extra curriculars, faculty officers, and so forth is typically managed via paper-based systems, manual processes, or simple spreadsheets. Recent events with COVID-19 requires capacity planning to be more detailed at the user level to ensure physical distancing and with tools for room booking and coordinate usage planning.

Goals and Objectives

Support space planning, optimize building space usage, and control environmental factors that impact usage. Increasingly as digital and physical ecosystems merge operationally, more competencies and know-how is required to integrate information from both IT/OT sources effectively.

Technology Deployed

Smart building technologies such as occupancy sensors, analytics and AI, mobile devices, video, and collaborative software

Use Case Summary
