Current Situation
Retail investment services have largely been provided on a standalone basis via dedicated channels. The opportunity to improve customer engagement by intersecting customers’ financial investments with frequently visited digital channels is large and economically attractive.
Goals and Objectives
Utilize API-driven microservices to enable nonfinancial digital channels to provide customers with investment opportunities instead of forcing them into dedicated brokerage or investment portals. Growth in embedded investments has strong parallels to the digital asset ecosystem, asset tokenization, smart contracts, and fractionalization. Modernize portfolio management systems to accommodate all of the above.
Technology Deployed
Social, mobile, IoT, data analytics, and APIs
Use Case Summary
The integration of financial services, including notably retail brokerage, into nonfinancial digital channels, notably social media platforms, represents an important evolution in customer engagement for the capital markets. As firms transform into digital-first enterprises, it makes a lot of sense that their sales and distribution channels would evolve. Elevated innovation is expected from this space.
